About nickhillman

I’ve always had a keen interest in Photography and back in the early 1990's I studied for the City and Guilds Professional Practice in Photography, whilst working full time in Architecture.

In 2012 I joined the Penistone Camera Club, and began to take my photography more seriously. This was followed soon after by my first accreditation with the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) in 2016, when I was awarded the accreditation of LRPS.

As a career, I moved on from Architecture following two major recessions and my role is now Web Solutions Architect (designing the applications and architecture behind internet applications within the financial services sector) and I now work for a global asset management company (basically financial services managing, shares, funds and pensions).

Other hobbies include Cycling, Breadmaking, DIY, Walking and Travelling.

I regularly volunteer as the official photographer at various events for the Choir With No Name (CWNN), Cawthorne Choral Society, and, Penistone Agricultural Show, as well as being a committee member with the Penistone Camera Club.
